Welcome to my website, let me tell you about myself . . .

Check out Chris's Newest Venture - Master Class DC - where DC area dance studios can connect to NYC Teachers and Choreographers:

Over the past twenty years, I have performed and choreographed all over the US and abroad. From national tours to regional theater to local competitions and award winning productions, I’ve done it all!
Most recently, I completed the Broadway National Tour of The Pajama Game where I not only performed in the ensemble, but served as the tour’s Associate Choreographer and Dance Captain. Other touring companies I’ve had the good fortune to perform in include the Broadway National Tour of The Producers (another production that I served as dance captain), the National Tour of Crazy For You (in the role of Billy), and the Moscow Company of 42nd Street.
Originally from the Washington DC area, I grew up competing in all forms of dance, through which I’ve received such prestigious awards as “Mr. Dreamseeker” and “Choreographer of the Year”. And, I’ve received many accolades from my peers for my technique and vast knowledge of varying dance styles. Much of that dance knowledge came from memberships in a number of DC based dance companies including Dancin’ Unlimited, Stage Crew, and Jazz Danz DC.
Now, as I said, I’ve been performing and choreographing for the past twenty years. But, believe it or not, I actually started teaching at the young age of sixteen. Starting with tap, jazz, and lyrical at Linda's Academy of Dance in Burke, VA, the teaching bug has taken me to dance studios all over Virginia, Maryland, and New Jersey.
My teaching career naturally progressed into the rewarding field of choreographing. I’ve not only choreographed theater productions of Once Upon a Mattress, Grease, and The Unsinkable Molly Brown, but I even co-choreographed an original musical called Bandstand 2000. That theater production garnered a Best Choreography nomination from the Helen Hayes Awards, which is the Washington DC area equivalent of Broadway’s Tony Awards. And, I just recently took on my biggest project yet, a production of The Producers, which I also directed, at Toby’s Dinner Theatre in Columbia, MD.
Dancing has opened up so many doors for me. I’m proud to say that I’ve had the opportunity to take master classes from some of the biggest names in the business. You may have heard of them. Gwen Verdon. Anne Reinking. Ben Vareen. Performing in theatrical tours has even allowed me to teach some master classes of my own in over fifty studios all over the USA and Canada! And, I’ve become in demand as a judge for many regional and national dance competitions.
Feel free to explore my website where you will find my performance resume as well as my technical resume. Also, please enjoy some of my production videos and photos. Thanks for coming! Enjoy your day!
